April 15, 2020 Post Meditation Email to Practitioners
It was inspiring to me to see you all fully present and practicing together today. Staying in the present moment, distancing ourselves from whatever is in our past or our future, can be scary. It takes courage to face what is happening right here – now.
Yet, the most excellent gift of life is full awareness of the present moment — without thinking of what worries you or having any regrets about the past.
So, look for the present moment in the mundanity of your life, those dull moments that you hardly ever pay attention to—brushing your teeth, walking to the kitchen, making tea or coffee, looking out at the morning sunshine – or the rain. Notice your breath and the aliveness of your body. Take some time today to care for yourself by staying present.
Be well,
